Artwear DimitriadisARTWEAR DIMITRIADIS was founded by Eleni Dimitriadis in 1982 in Athens, Greece. Eleni was born in Athens where she studied painting and drawing but gradually her main interest focused on jewellery and she devoted her own life creating a unique and avant-garde style. In 2003-2004 Eleni was asked by Swarovski to design a unique piece of jewellery which was displayed in major exhibitions alongside the designs of Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, J.P. Gaultier and many others. She has also designed jewellery for many catwalks, theatrical plays and movies such as "Brides", a Martin Scorsese collaboration with Pandelis Voulgaris. The Artwear Dimitriadis collection seduces the senses; and penetrates the romantic sensationalism of the Art Deco era, uniquely matching it with the contemporary emancipation of postmodernism. Her skills crystallize into Swarovski reflections, exceptional fabrics, laces, smooth threads, pure leathers and brilliant, illuminative precious and semi precious stones. She takes you on a trip of many colourful stages, which without ever scandalizing, sometimes describes women's feminine wishes and other times surprises with charming inconsistency. Today the Artwear Dimitriadis collection, can be found at the best stores in Europe, United States, Japan and the Arab States and are frequent in the pages of all the major magazines, such as Instyle, Marie Claire, Elle and many more. |
